EUR: SEPA and SEPA Instant

SEPA is used for euro-denominated transfers between participating institutions in the Single Euro Payments Area. SEPA Instant is designed for eligible rapid euro payments when both institutions, the transaction and the service are eligible.

SEPA Instant should not be treated as guaranteed for every euro payment. The route, limits and fallback behaviour depend on the approved provider configuration.

GBP: Faster Payments

Faster Payments is a UK payment network for eligible domestic GBP transfers. Access can depend on the account details, participating institutions, transaction direction and approved limits.

A GBP balance or GB IBAN does not by itself prove that every incoming and outgoing Faster Payments function is enabled.

USD: ACH

ACH is a US network used for eligible domestic USD payments. It may support qualifying collections, supplier payments or other commercial transfers where the approved account configuration includes the required US account details and payment type.

International payments: SWIFT

SWIFT is commonly used for international payment messages and transfers that cannot be completed through a local or regional rail. A payment may involve correspondent or intermediary institutions.

Timing, fees and the final amount received can depend on:

  • currencies and route;
  • correspondent institutions;
  • charge option such as SHA, OUR or BEN where supported;
  • beneficiary-bank charges;
  • cut-off times;
  • compliance review.

How is a payment rail selected?

The appropriate rail depends on currency, beneficiary country, payment purpose, urgency, cost and the capabilities enabled for the account. Quppy should show or explain the route used before a payment is confirmed where the interface supports route selection.

Why can availability differ between companies?

The underlying provider, account details, jurisdictions, customer profile, transaction type and limits can differ. The public list describes potential capabilities, while the individual offer is the authoritative source for the company.

What is Quppy Business?

Quppy Business is the business-payment experience developed under the Quppy brand for eligible legal entities. Depending on the company’s approved configuration, it may provide access to EUR, GBP and USD balances, supported payment rails, dedicated or virtual account identifiers and merchant-settlement flows. Quppy provides the connected technology and user experience; the legal entities providing payment or crypto services are identified in the customer offer and applicable agreements.

Business accounts

What is a dedicated GB IBAN?

A dedicated GB IBAN is an account identifier assigned for use by a specific approved business customer under the applicable account arrangement. It may be used for eligible commercial payments or settlement flows, depending on the underlying provider, currencies and payment rails. Not every Quppy Business customer receives a dedicated GB IBAN.

Business accounts

What is a virtual IBAN?

A virtual IBAN is an account identifier linked to an underlying account arrangement and used to identify or reconcile incoming payments. It can be assigned to a customer, acquirer, store, website, legal entity, project, country or payment flow. A virtual IBAN does not necessarily constitute a separate bank account, and availability depends on the approved Quppy Business configuration.

How does Quppy Business onboarding work?

Quppy Business onboarding is completed online and normally includes a company application, corporate documents, verification of directors and beneficial owners, evidence of business activity and a compliance review. Approved companies receive an individual offer describing the currencies, account details, payment rails, limits, pricing, permitted use, providers and terms available to them. The timeline depends on the company and completeness of the information.
