What can I do with Quppy Crypto?

Depending on your country, provider and account configuration, Quppy Crypto can let you:

  • hold supported crypto-assets in a custodial wallet;
  • receive supported assets from compatible external wallets or platforms;
  • send supported assets to compatible external wallet addresses;
  • exchange one supported crypto-asset for another;
  • exchange supported crypto-assets with EUR;
  • exchange supported crypto-assets with GBP;
  • review transaction and exchange information through the Quppy interface.

Every action is subject to the specific asset, network, pair, limit, provider and compliance status available to your account.

What does a custodial wallet mean?

Quppy Crypto uses a custodial wallet model. The applicable crypto-service provider holds and administers supported crypto-assets under its service terms and regulatory permissions. You manage balances and initiate deposits, withdrawals and exchanges through Quppy.

The current Quppy Crypto product is not described as self-custody. Do not expect a seed phrase or user-controlled private key as the standard recovery method. Account recovery is handled through Quppy Support and the required security and identity checks.

Always choose the same supported network on both sides of a transfer. An asset name alone is not enough to confirm compatibility.

How do external crypto transfers work?

To receive crypto, select the asset and supported network in Quppy, copy the current deposit details and use the same network on the sending platform.

To send crypto, select the asset and supported network, enter or scan the destination address, review any memo or tag requirement and complete the security checks shown in Quppy.

Blockchain transactions normally cannot be cancelled or reversed. A wrong address, unsupported asset or wrong network can result in permanent loss.

Read the receive and send guides:

How does exchange connect with EUR and GBP?

Quppy Crypto is connected with the fiat functionality available through Quppy Personal, but it is a separate regulated service.

Supported journeys can include:

  • EUR ↔ supported crypto-asset
  • GBP ↔ supported crypto-asset
  • supported crypto-asset ↔ supported crypto-asset

Available pairs, rates, costs and limits are shown according to the user’s country and provider configuration. The Quppy Personal IBAN remains a fiat account service and does not itself provide crypto exchange.

Who provides crypto services in the EEA?

Applicable custody, crypto exchange and crypto-transfer services available through Quppy to eligible EEA users are provided by Payhound Limited, a Malta-based Crypto-Asset Service Provider authorised under MiCA by the Malta Financial Services Authority.

Quppy provides the connected technology and user experience. Quppy is not the holder of Payhound’s MiCA authorisation.

Outside the EEA, the applicable licensed or registered provider can differ and is identified for the user’s jurisdiction before service activation.

How is access protected?

Approved account and transaction controls include:

  • PIN protection;
  • biometric login on supported devices;
  • two-factor authentication;
  • transaction confirmation;
  • new-device confirmation;
  • support-led account recovery.

Security controls reduce risk but do not make an account or crypto transaction risk-free. You remain responsible for protecting your device, email, authentication methods and transaction details.

What costs and risks apply?

Before an exchange or external transfer is confirmed, Quppy should show the applicable rate, estimated result and any costs associated with the operation. External blockchain transfers can require a network cost.

Quppy does not publish a general claim that crypto exchange or transfers are free. Crypto-assets can lose value, providers can review or reject transactions, and blockchain transfers normally cannot be reversed.
