SEPA Standard

SEPA Credit Transfer is the standard scheme for euro credit transfers across participating SEPA countries and territories. Quppy users with eligible EUR functionality can use supported SEPA Standard operations available to their account.

AvailabilityDepends on the user, provider, beneficiary institution and direction

Note:

The European Payments Council states that SEPA Credit Transfer uses common rules for euro credit transfers across the SEPA area. Quppy-specific execution depends on the applicable provider and transaction review.

SEPA Instant

SEPA Instant Credit Transfer is designed for euro payments that can be processed around the clock when the payer’s and payee’s payment service providers participate and the transaction is eligible. The scheme operates 24/7/365 and its current rulebook provides a maximum scheme-processing duration measured in seconds.

Important:

Do not promise that every Quppy transfer will arrive within a fixed number of seconds. Eligibility, provider availability, maintenance, compliance review and the receiving institution can affect the route and status.

How does Quppy determine the route?

The available route can depend on the currency, account configuration, payment direction, beneficiary details, participating institutions, amount, limits and current service status. Quppy must show the selected or available route before the user confirms the transfer.

  1. Choose the EUR or GBP transfer flow available to your account.
  2. Enter the beneficiary and payment information.
  3. Review the route displayed by Quppy.
  4. Check the amount, fee, limit and status information.
  5. Confirm only after the route and details match your intention.

Note:

Exact UI labels and whether a user chooses the route or Quppy selects it automatically require current product confirmation.

Why can a route be unavailable or a transfer be pending?

  • The beneficiary institution does not participate in the route.
  • The transaction is outside the enabled incoming or outgoing direction.
  • The amount exceeds a user, provider or scheme limit.
  • Account or beneficiary details require correction.
  • The payment is subject to security, sanctions, fraud or compliance review.
  • The provider or payment system is undergoing maintenance or an incident.
  • A route-specific cut-off or operating window applies.

Quppy should display the current status and, where it can lawfully do so, explain the next action. A pending or unavailable route does not automatically mean that the user’s entire account is unavailable.

Are these routes free?

All currently supported fiat transfer operations in EUR and GBP have no Quppy transfer fee. Currency exchange, crypto exchange, blockchain-network and third-party costs can apply separately.

FAQ

What is the difference between SEPA Standard and SEPA Instant?

SEPA Standard is the regular euro credit-transfer route. SEPA Instant is designed for eligible euro transfers processed around the clock when the participating institutions and transaction meet the scheme and provider conditions.

Does Quppy guarantee an instant SEPA transfer?

No universal arrival-time guarantee is stated. The transaction must be eligible, both sides must support the route, and security or compliance review can affect processing.

Can I receive GBP using Faster Payments or CHAPS?

Incoming GBP transfers are not currently available through Quppy. Do not use the existence of Faster Payments or CHAPS as confirmation that incoming GBP is enabled.

Are Faster Payments available 24/7?

The underlying Faster Payment System operates 24/7/365, but Quppy and its provider can apply account, direction, limit, maintenance and review conditions.

Is CHAPS the same as Faster Payments?

No. CHAPS is a sterling same-day system commonly used for high-value or time-critical payments. Faster Payments is a separate UK payment system designed for rapid sterling payments.

Does Quppy charge for these routes?

Currently supported EUR and GBP fiat transfer operations have no Quppy transfer fee. Other costs can apply separately.

How do I know which route will be used?

Review the route displayed in Quppy before confirmation. Route availability depends on the payment and account configuration.

Accounts and transfers

Are EUR and GBP transfers free with Quppy?

Yes. Quppy charges no transfer fee for all currently supported fiat transfers in EUR and GBP. This applies to the Quppy transfer fee on eligible SEPA Standard, SEPA Instant, Faster Payments and CHAPS operations available to the account. Currency exchange, crypto exchange, blockchain-network and third-party costs are separate where applicable.

Accounts and transfers

What is the Quppy crypto-friendly multicurrency IBAN?

The Quppy multicurrency IBAN is a fiat account service for eligible users to manage EUR and GBP through one connected Quppy experience. It is described as crypto-friendly because separate crypto wallet and exchange services can be accessed through the wider Quppy app. The IBAN itself does not hold crypto and does not provide crypto exchange.

Verification and compliance

Why can a Quppy transaction be delayed or rejected?

A Quppy transaction can be delayed, placed under review, returned or rejected because of payment-route rules, blockchain confirmations, incorrect details, security controls, transaction limits, provider availability, sanctions or AML/CFT checks, Travel Rule information, source-of-funds questions, or a technical incident. A pending or rejected status does not identify one specific cause, and Quppy may be legally unable to disclose every internal risk indicator.
