• the country/service provider card;
• the provider’s own terms.

2. Check the official register

For example:

• Payhound Limited should be verified through the Malta Financial Services Authority register;
• 2PAYAPP LIMITED’s Canadian MSB registration can be checked through the official FINTRAC registry;
• QUPPY EUROPE OÜ can be checked through the Estonian e-Business Register.

3. Match the service scope

A registration or authorisation may cover only specific activities. Check whether the published scope includes the service being offered, such as:

• money transfer;
• foreign exchange;
• issuing account details;
• holding or safeguarding funds;
• crypto custody;
• crypto exchange;
• crypto transfers.

4. Check the jurisdiction
