What is crypto-to-crypto exchange?

Crypto-to-crypto exchange converts one supported crypto-asset into another without first asking you to make a separate fiat transfer.

Example categories can include:

  • volatile crypto-asset → stablecoin
  • stablecoin → volatile crypto-asset
  • one supported crypto-asset → another supported crypto-asset

These examples do not establish that a specific pair is active. Use the current asset selector in Quppy.

How do I make a crypto-to-crypto exchange?

A typical flow is:

  1. Open Quppy Crypto.
  2. Select the supported crypto-asset you want to exchange.
  3. Select an available receiving crypto-asset.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Review the rate, estimated amount and applicable costs.
  6. Confirm the exchange and complete any required security or compliance step.
  7. Check the resulting custodial balance and transaction history.

The product may use an underlying execution route that is not visible as a separate customer step. The final result and costs shown before confirmation are what matter to the user.

Which pairs are available?

Pair availability depends on:

  • your country and regulatory jurisdiction;
  • assigned provider;
  • asset and network status;
  • account eligibility;
  • liquidity and operational availability;
  • limits;
  • temporary maintenance or review.

Current core assets include BTC, ETH, TRX, USDC and USDT where regionally available. USDT is excluded for EEA users. SOL and Solana-network support are coming soon.

Can I use USDT in a crypto-to-crypto pair?

Not in the EEA. USDT is not available through Quppy to users whose crypto services are configured under the EEA framework.

Outside the EEA, USDT can be available subject to country, provider, network and account eligibility. Do not infer outside-EEA availability from a general asset list; check the current selector.

Why is USDT unavailable in the EEA?

How are rates and costs shown?

Before confirmation, Quppy should show:

  • the asset and amount you exchange;
  • the asset and estimated amount you receive;
  • the applicable exchange rate;
  • any exchange cost, spread or other cost shown;
  • quote validity, if applicable;
  • provider and transaction status information.

Quppy does not publish a general “zero fee” or “zero spread” claim for crypto-to-crypto exchange.

Is crypto-to-crypto exchange a blockchain transfer?

No. An exchange changes the asset held in your custodial account. A blockchain transfer moves an asset to or from an external address.

An exchange can be completed without a customer-facing external withdrawal. If you later send the received asset to an external wallet, a separate blockchain network cost and transfer review can apply.

Why might an exchange remain pending or fail?

Possible causes include:

  • quote expiry or market movement;
  • insufficient available balance;
  • pair or liquidity unavailable;
  • minimum or maximum limits;
  • account or provider restriction;
  • security or compliance review;
  • technical maintenance.

Preserve the transaction reference and contact Support if the status does not resolve or if the app requests additional information.

Exchange, rates and costs

How are crypto exchange rates and costs shown in Quppy?

Before a crypto exchange is confirmed, Quppy should show the applicable exchange rate, the amount you exchange, the estimated amount you receive and any costs associated with the operation. Which crypto-assets and networks does Quppy support?

Availability by region

Why is USDT unavailable through Quppy in the EEA?

USDT is not available through Quppy to users whose crypto services are provided under the European Economic Area regulatory framework. Quppy’s EEA crypto-service provider, Payhound Limited, excludes USDT from its EU/EEA service catalogue as part of its MiCA-compliant stablecoin policy. This is a Quppy service-availability restriction. It does not mean that simply owning USDT is generally illegal throughout the EEA.
