How does Quppy protect my account?

Quppy uses multiple account and transaction controls, including PIN protection, biometric login on supported devices, two-factor authentication, transaction confirmation and new-device confirmation. Account recovery is handled through Quppy Support and identity and security checks. These controls reduce risk but cannot make an account, device or transaction completely risk-free.

Which security controls are available?

PIN protection helps restrict access to the Quppy app and sensitive functions.

Biometric login can use a supported device’s fingerprint or face-recognition capability for convenient access.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification factor to selected access or security actions.

Transaction confirmation requires you to review and approve an exchange or transfer before submission.

New-device confirmation adds an additional check when the account is accessed from a device not previously trusted.

The exact sequence can depend on the device, account, service and risk level.

How should I protect my device?

  • Use a device passcode that is not shared with your Quppy PIN.
  • Keep the operating system and Quppy app updated.
  • Use the official app store or approved Quppy download link.
  • Do not install unknown remote-access or screen-sharing software.
  • Protect your email account with a strong unique password and 2FA.
  • Protect the phone number used for account recovery.
  • Avoid using rooted, jailbroken or malware-infected devices.
  • Lock the device when not in use.
  • Review app permissions and remove unknown profiles or certificates.

Quppy Terms also place responsibility on users to protect the device on which the software is installed against malware.

How should I review a transaction?

Before confirming:

  • verify the fiat currency or crypto-asset;
  • verify the blockchain network;
  • verify the recipient or destination address;
  • verify the amount;
  • verify any memo, tag or reference;
  • verify the rate and estimated result for an exchange;
  • verify any cost shown;
  • stop if a confirmation request appears that you did not initiate.

Transaction confirmation protects only when you read and verify the information rather than approving automatically.

What should I never share?

Never share:

  • your Quppy password;
  • your Quppy PIN;
  • a live 2FA code;
  • an email one-time code;
  • device unlock credentials;
  • a private key or seed phrase;
  • identity documents with an unverified person;
  • remote access to your device.

Do not send crypto to a person who claims payment is required to secure, unlock or verify your account.

How do I recognise a suspicious request?

Warning signs include:

  • pressure to act immediately;
  • a request for a PIN, 2FA code or password;
  • a request to install remote-access software;
  • a request to move funds to a “safe wallet”;
  • a promise of guaranteed recovery or profit;
  • an unexpected new-device or transaction confirmation;
  • a message from a lookalike email domain or social account;
  • a demand for a tax, unlocking or verification payment in crypto.

Open Quppy Support from the official website or app instead of replying to the suspicious message.

What happens when I use a new device?

Quppy can require additional confirmation before a new device is trusted. Depending on the risk and account state, this can include authentication, identity checks or temporary restrictions on sensitive operations.

Do not approve a new-device request you did not initiate. An unexpected request can indicate that another person is attempting to access the account.

How does account recovery work?

Quppy Crypto is custodial, and account recovery is handled through Quppy Support rather than a self-custody seed phrase.

Support can request identity, device and security information. Sensitive operations can remain restricted during review. Recovery is not instant and requires successful completion of the applicable checks.

  • Do not approve the alert if you did not initiate it.

  • Secure the email and phone linked to the account.
  • Change any reused password on other services.
  • Review recent devices, sessions and transactions if available.
  • Preserve screenshots, times, sender details and transaction hashes.
  • Follow the compromised-account guide if unauthorised access is suspected.
