Última revisión: 2026-08-21

Quppy provides the software and connected user experience. Payhound performs the regulated crypto services within its authorised scope and under the applicable provider terms.

What MiCA covers in this service model

Payhound’s published authorisation includes services relevant to Quppy such as:

  • custody and administration of crypto-assets on behalf of clients;
  • transfer services for crypto-assets on behalf of clients;
  • execution of orders for crypto-assets on behalf of clients;
  • exchange of crypto-assets for funds;
  • exchange of crypto-assets for other crypto-assets.

What MiCA does not guarantee

MiCA authorisation does not mean that:

  • crypto-assets cannot lose value;
  • every asset is available in every EEA country;
  • every transaction must be accepted or completed immediately;
  • stablecoins have no issuer, liquidity or market risk;
  • a regulated provider can ignore AML, sanctions or Travel Rule obligations;
  • Quppy itself holds Payhound’s authorisation.

Availability by region

Why is USDT unavailable through Quppy in the EEA?

USDT is not available through Quppy to users whose crypto services are provided under the European Economic Area regulatory framework. Quppy’s EEA crypto-service provider, Payhound Limited, excludes USDT from its EU/EEA service catalogue as part of its MiCA-compliant stablecoin policy. This is a Quppy service-availability restriction. It does not mean that simply owning USDT is generally illegal throughout the EEA.
