If you're looking for a Bitpanda alternative, it helps to be clear about what each service is. Bitpanda is an investment platform for crypto, stocks, ETFs and metals, while Quppy is an app that puts a EUR and GBP account next to a custodial crypto wallet. They overlap on buying, holding and sending crypto, and they differ on almost everything around it. This page sets the two side by side, feature by feature, and says plainly where Bitpanda offers more.

Information about Bitpanda is taken from its official website as of October 2026 and may change; check its current terms before you decide.

Key takeaways

  • Bitpanda lists far more assets: 650+ cryptos plus stocks, ETFs and metals. Quppy supports a short list of crypto-assets and no other investments.
  • Bitpanda has a Visa debit card today for residents of euro-area countries. Quppy cards are coming soon, with a waitlist.
  • Quppy gives you EUR and GBP account functionality with an IBAN, SEPA and UK payment routes, and no Quppy fee on supported fiat transfers. Incoming GBP is not currently available.
  • On Bitpanda, euro bank deposits go to bank details shown in the app with a payment reference, and must come from an account in your own name.
  • Both use MiCA-authorised providers for crypto in the EU: Bitpanda's own group companies, and for Quppy, Payhound Limited.

Where Quppy and Bitpanda differ

What you're signing up for. Bitpanda's homepage describes a place to "invest and trade 650+ cryptos, 10,000+ real stocks, ETFs and metals". It is built around investing. Quppy is built around everyday money: a EUR and GBP account experience with payment routes, and a separate custodial crypto wallet and exchange in the same app. If you mainly want to buy and hold a wide range of assets, Bitpanda covers more ground. If you want euros arriving by SEPA and crypto in one place, that's the problem Quppy is designed for.

How euros get in. Bitpanda's help centre describes bank deposits to bank details shown in the app, with a payment reference you must include. It also says some partner banks may lead Bitpanda to assign you a different IBAN, and that deposits must come from a bank account in your own name. With Quppy, eligible users get EUR account details and can use supported SEPA Standard and SEPA Instant operations. Quppy charges no transfer fee on currently supported EUR and GBP fiat transfers. Exchange and network costs are separate. More on how that works in our guide to crypto-friendly IBANs.

Range of crypto. Bitpanda lists hundreds of crypto-assets. Quppy currently supports BTC on Bitcoin, ETH and USDC on Ethereum, and TRX on TRON. USDT is available only outside the EEA, and SOL and USDC on Solana are coming soon. If you want a specific smaller coin, Bitpanda is more likely to have it. The full Quppy asset and network list is in our help centre.

Cards. Bitpanda offers the Bitpanda Card, a Visa debit card issued by Transact Payments Malta Limited. It can spend from your EUR wallet, crypto or metals, converting them to euros at payment, and is available to verified users who live in a euro-area country. Quppy cards are not live yet. They're coming soon, and you can join the waitlist. Quppy also doesn't currently support adding money or withdrawing to a bank card.

Pricing model. Bitpanda's help centre explains that it adds a premium to the market price when you buy or sell digital assets, and that it doesn't charge for euro SEPA transfers. Quppy shows the rate, the amount you'll receive and any applicable costs before you confirm a crypto exchange. It doesn't publish one universal crypto fee. In both cases, the figure that counts is the quote on screen, so compare it with the fees page or in-app quote at the time.

When Bitpanda may suit you better

  • You want to invest across asset classes, such as stocks, ETFs or metals, alongside crypto, in one account.
  • You want access to a long list of crypto-assets.
  • You live in a euro-area country and want a card that can spend crypto today.
  • You want to fund purchases by card or other non-bank methods that Bitpanda lists.

When Quppy may suit you better

  • You want a EUR account with SEPA Standard and SEPA Instant, and GBP functionality, in the same app as your crypto.
  • You mostly use major assets such as BTC, ETH and USDC, and want to move between them and EUR or GBP without switching apps.
  • You want no Quppy fee on supported EUR and GBP fiat transfers.
  • You want to see which regulated company provides each service. In the EEA, Quppy's crypto services are provided by Payhound Limited, which you can check on the official register.

We're upfront about what isn't there yet: no cards today, no incoming GBP, no card funding, and no USDT for EEA users. If any of those is essential, Quppy isn't the right fit for that job yet.

Using both

Plenty of people do. A common setup is an investment platform for long-term holdings and a separate account for day-to-day euros. If you do that, two practical points:

  • Moving crypto between platforms is a blockchain transfer. Match the asset and the network on both sides, because a mismatch can mean permanent loss. Bitpanda says incoming crypto deposits are free and outgoing withdrawals carry the blockchain network fee. With Quppy, a network cost can apply when you send to an external wallet. Our help article on receiving crypto from an external wallet walks through the checks.
  • Moving euros by bank transfer is normally simpler, but each provider has its own rules about whose name the sending account must be in.

If you're weighing a custodial service against holding your own keys, read custodial vs non-custodial wallets first. Quppy's wallet is custodial.

FAQ

What is a good Bitpanda alternative for euros and crypto in one app?

It depends on what you use Bitpanda for. If you want an account with a EUR IBAN and SEPA payments next to a crypto wallet, Quppy is built for that. If you want to invest in stocks, ETFs or metals as well as crypto, Bitpanda covers asset classes that Quppy doesn't offer.

Is Bitpanda regulated under MiCA?

ESMA's interim MiCA register lists Bitpanda GmbH as authorised by Austria's FMA, Bitpanda Asset Management GmbH by Germany's BaFin, and BP23 CA Limited (trading as Bitpanda) by the Malta Financial Services Authority, all as crypto-asset service providers. You can check the current entries on ESMA's website.

Is Quppy regulated?

Quppy itself is a technology provider, not a bank and not a MiCA-authorised company. In the EEA, its crypto services are provided by Payhound Limited, a crypto-asset service provider authorised under MiCA by the Malta Financial Services Authority. See is Quppy MiCA authorised for the full breakdown.

Does Quppy have a card like the Bitpanda Card?

Not yet. Quppy cards are coming soon for eligible users in selected markets, and you can join the waitlist. Bitpanda's Visa debit card is available now to verified users living in euro-area countries.

Can I move crypto from Bitpanda to Quppy?

Yes, for assets and networks Quppy supports for your account. Copy the deposit address from Quppy, choose the same asset and network in Bitpanda, and send a small test amount first. Don't send USDT if you're in the EEA, because it's not available through Quppy there.

Which one is cheaper?

There's no honest single answer. Both show costs differently: Bitpanda builds a premium into its buy and sell prices, and Quppy shows the rate and any costs in the quote before you confirm. Compare the actual quote for the amount and asset you plan to trade.
