How are crypto exchange rates and costs shown in Quppy?

Before a crypto exchange is confirmed, Quppy should show the applicable exchange rate, the amount you exchange, the estimated amount you receive and any costs associated with the operation. Rates can change before confirmation. Quppy does not currently publish one universal crypto exchange fee, spread or transaction limit in this Help Center article.

What information should I see before confirming?

A clear exchange quote should show:

FieldWhat it tells you
You exchangeAsset or fiat currency and amount deducted
You receiveEstimated asset or fiat currency and amount credited
Exchange rateRate used to calculate the result
Applicable costsFee, spread or other cost shown for the operation
Quote validityWhether the quote can still be confirmed, if applicable
ProviderEntity providing the exchange service for the account

Do not confirm an exchange if the currencies, assets or expected amounts are unclear.

What is the difference between a rate, fee and spread?

Exchange rate is the conversion relationship between the two assets or currencies.

Fee is a separately identified cost charged for the operation, if applicable.

Spread or markup is a difference that can be incorporated into the quoted rate rather than shown as a separate line.

Network cost relates to an external blockchain transfer and is not the same as an exchange cost.

The final quote must make the total expected result understandable even when not every pricing component is presented in the same format.

Can the rate change?

Yes. Crypto markets can move quickly. A rate shown before the confirmation screen, in a public market widget or in an old screenshot may no longer apply when you submit the exchange.

The rate that matters is the current executable quote shown in Quppy at the point of confirmation, subject to any quote-validity rule displayed there.

Quppy must not use claims such as “guaranteed rate,” “rate locked,” “best rate” or “the rate you see is always the rate you get” unless the product mechanics and evidence support them.

Are crypto exchanges free?

This article does not state that crypto exchange is free.

Quppy currently has a separate commercial claim for supported EUR and GBP fiat transfers: no Quppy transfer fee. That statement does not automatically cover:

  • fiat-to-crypto exchange;
  • crypto-to-fiat exchange;
  • crypto-to-crypto exchange;
  • blockchain-network costs;
  • third-party costs.

Review the current quote and applicable terms before confirming.

When does a network cost apply?

A blockchain network cost can apply when crypto is sent to an external wallet or received through a transaction whose sending platform charges a network fee.

It is separate from the exchange quote unless the app explicitly combines or discloses it as part of the same transaction.

Network costs can change with the blockchain, congestion and provider policy. Quppy does not publish one fixed network fee for all assets and networks.

How does a public rate widget differ from the final quote?

A public website rate, if shown, should normally be treated as indicative unless the page explicitly states that it is executable and describes its validity.

An indicative widget can help compare pairs but should not be used to promise:

  • a guaranteed result;
  • zero spread;
  • a locked rate;
  • the final amount received;
  • availability of a pair for every user.

The final exchange decision must be based on the in-product quote.

Why can the amount received differ from a market-price website?

Differences can result from:

  • market movement;
  • bid/ask spread;
  • liquidity and execution route;
  • size of the transaction;
  • provider pricing;
  • exchange or service cost;
  • rounding;
  • regional pair availability;
  • quote timing.

A public market index does not necessarily represent an executable price for a specific customer and amount.

What if the final result looks wrong?

Before confirmation, stop and review the pair, direction, amount and quote.

After confirmation:

  • preserve the transaction reference;
  • record the quoted and completed amounts;
  • take a screenshot if available;
  • check whether the transaction is complete or pending;
  • contact Quppy Support if the result does not match the confirmed details.

Do not repeat the exchange while the first operation is unresolved.

FAQ

Where can I see the exchange rate?

In the current Quppy quote before confirmation.

Can the rate change before I confirm?

Yes. Crypto rates can move until the exchange is confirmed, unless a valid locked-quote mechanism is explicitly shown.

Does Quppy publish one crypto exchange fee?

No universal numeric fee is published in this article. Review the current quote and applicable terms.

What is spread?

Spread or markup is a pricing difference that can be included in the quoted rate rather than shown as a separate fee.

Is a blockchain network fee part of the exchange fee?

Not necessarily. Network costs relate to external blockchain transfers and can apply separately.

Are crypto exchanges free because fiat transfers are free?

No. The no-Quppy-transfer-fee claim applies to currently supported fiat transfers, not automatically to exchange.

Is a public calculator the final price?

Not unless it is explicitly described as an executable quote. Public rates should normally be treated as indicative.

Why does another website show a different rate?

Market source, timing, liquidity, spread, transaction size and provider pricing can differ.

Explanatory note

This article explains the current Quppy product configuration. The applicable Quppy and service-provider terms, country eligibility rules and information shown in the app prevail if they differ from this article.

Exchange, rates and costs

Can I exchange crypto with EUR and GBP?

Yes. Eligible users can exchange supported crypto-assets with EUR and GBP in both directions where the pair is available: fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat. The Quppy Personal IBAN remains a fiat account service; the exchange is a separate regulated Quppy Crypto service with its own provider, rates, costs, limits and regional restrictions.

Exchange, rates and costs

Can I exchange one crypto-asset for another?

Yes. Quppy supports exchange between available crypto-assets for supported pairs. You cannot assume that every asset can be exchanged directly for every other asset. The available pair, rate, estimated result, costs and regional restrictions are shown according to your country, provider and account configuration before confirmation.

Accounts and transfers

Are EUR and GBP transfers free with Quppy?

Yes. Quppy charges no transfer fee for all currently supported fiat transfers in EUR and GBP. This applies to the Quppy transfer fee on eligible SEPA Standard, SEPA Instant, Faster Payments and CHAPS operations available to the account. Currency exchange, crypto exchange, blockchain-network and third-party costs are separate where applicable.

Crypto wallet and transfers

Which crypto-assets and networks does Quppy support?

Quppy currently supports BTC on Bitcoin, ETH and USDC on Ethereum, and TRX on TRON. USDT on Ethereum and TRON is available only outside the EEA, subject to country and provider eligibility. SOL, USDC on Solana and USDT on Solana outside the EEA are coming soon.

Crypto wallet and transfers

Why is my crypto transaction pending or under review?

A crypto transaction can remain pending because it is waiting for blockchain confirmations, the external platform has not completed processing, the applicable provider is processing it, or a security, compliance or Travel Rule review is required. “Pending” and “under review” are not the same as “failed.” Check the transaction status and evidence before contacting Support.
