Why do Quppy services differ by country?

Quppy services differ by country because the underlying fiat, payment, crypto and future card services can be provided by different legal entities under different regulatory permissions, payment-rail rules, asset restrictions and commercial configurations. Product rollout and individual eligibility also vary. As a result, two users can use the same Quppy app but see different currencies, account details, payment directions, crypto-assets, networks, limits or providers.

What can vary by country?

Country-specific differences can affect:

  • whether a Personal or Business application is accepted;
  • which legal entity and provider serves the account;
  • available fiat currencies;
  • account details and IBAN type;
  • incoming and outgoing payment directions;
  • SEPA, SEPA Instant, Faster Payments, CHAPS, SWIFT or ACH availability;
  • supported crypto-assets and networks;
  • fiat-to-crypto, crypto-to-fiat and crypto-to-crypto pairs;
  • stablecoin availability;
  • limits, pricing and verification requirements;
  • availability of cards or local payment methods;
  • complaint and regulatory escalation paths.

The exact configuration shown to the user is more important than a broad regional marketing statement.

Why do providers matter?

Quppy provides the connected software and user experience. The underlying regulated service can be provided by another legal entity.

A provider’s:

  • licence or registration;
  • permitted services;
  • passporting or cross-border rights;
  • supported countries;
  • risk policy;
  • payment-rail access;
  • asset list;
  • customer-type policy

can determine what Quppy can make available in a market.

For example, applicable EEA crypto custody, exchange and transfer services are provided through Payhound Limited under the approved Quppy model. Outside the EEA, another appropriately licensed or registered provider can apply.

Why do laws and regulatory frameworks matter?

Different jurisdictions can impose different requirements concerning:

  • identity and business verification;
  • sanctions and restricted persons;
  • crypto custody and exchange;
  • stablecoins;
  • Travel Rule data;
  • consumer disclosures;
  • marketing;
  • payment safeguarding;
  • card issuance;
  • tax reporting;
  • complaints;
  • data processing.

Quppy should not present one provider’s authorisation as a global Quppy licence.

Why do payment routes differ?

A payment route is not automatically available merely because a currency is supported.

Availability can depend on:

  • provider access to the scheme;
  • sending and receiving institution participation;
  • customer eligibility;
  • direction of payment;
  • account details issued;
  • transaction type;
  • amount and limit;
  • operating hours or cut-offs;
  • compliance and fraud controls.

For example, Quppy supports GBP functionality, but incoming GBP transfers are not currently available under the approved Personal model.

Why do crypto-assets differ by region?

Crypto availability can depend on:

  • provider service catalogue;
  • regulatory treatment;
  • supported blockchain networks;
  • custody infrastructure;
  • liquidity;
  • transaction-monitoring controls;
  • country restrictions;
  • customer type.

The current Quppy model excludes USDT for EEA users while allowing it outside the EEA where the relevant country and provider configuration supports it. This is a service-availability rule, not a statement that owning USDT is universally illegal throughout Europe.

Why can product rollout differ?

A product can launch in stages because Quppy or a provider needs to complete:

  • regulatory notifications or approvals;
  • provider integration;
  • payment-rail certification;
  • security testing;
  • operational readiness;
  • customer-support preparation;
  • pricing and disclosure approval;
  • market-specific terms;
  • card issuer or local-method onboarding.

Coming soon does not mean a launch date is guaranteed.

Can eligibility differ between people in the same country?

Yes. Even in one country, availability can differ because of:

  • Personal versus Business status;
  • age;
  • residence and nationality where relevant;
  • verification result;
  • occupation or industry;
  • beneficial ownership;
  • expected activity;
  • source of funds;
  • sanctions or PEP review;
  • provider risk criteria;
  • account status.

Do not use another user’s screenshot as proof that a service must be available to your account.

Can I change country settings to access another service?

Changing an app-store country, interface language, IP address or VPN does not change verified residence or legal eligibility.

Providing false residence or identity information can breach applicable terms and lead to restriction or closure. Update genuine changes through the approved profile and reverification process.

How should Quppy display country differences?

Each service should show:

  • Country
  • Customer type
  • Service
  • Provider
  • Currency or asset
  • Network or payment rail
  • Direction
  • Status
  • Effective date
  • Last reviewed
  • Important limitation

A simple flag or “available in Europe” badge is insufficient when individual services differ.

FAQ

Why does my friend see a feature that I do not?

They may have a different country, customer type, provider, eligibility result or account configuration.

Can two EEA countries have different Quppy services?

Yes. Regional regulation can be shared while provider rollout, payment routes and product configuration still differ.

Can I use a VPN to unlock a service?

No. A VPN does not change verified residence or eligibility.

Why can EUR be available but one SEPA direction not be?

Currency support and payment-direction support are separate configuration fields.

Why is USDT unavailable in the EEA?

The current EEA provider configuration excludes USDT from Quppy services in that region.

Does Coming soon mean the service is guaranteed?

No. Launch depends on product, provider, legal and operational readiness.

Can availability change after onboarding?

Yes. Provider, legal, product, operational and account-specific changes can affect it.

This article explains the current Quppy product and compliance configuration. The applicable Quppy and service-provider terms, country eligibility rules, privacy notices and information shown in the app prevail if they differ from this article.

Availability and eligibility

Where is Quppy available?

Quppy is available to eligible users in supported markets worldwide, except sanctioned or otherwise restricted jurisdictions and markets where a service cannot be provided under applicable law or provider requirements. Availability is configured locally: the app, EUR or GBP account features, payment routes, crypto-assets, networks, Business services and future cards can each have a different status in the same country.

Availability by region

How do I check which Quppy services are available in my country?

Use the Quppy availability directory, select your verified country of residence and customer type, and review each service separately. Check the provider, currency or crypto-asset, blockchain network or payment rail, incoming or outgoing direction, current status, limitations and Last reviewed date. Then confirm the same status in the Quppy app before opening an account, sending a payment or transferring crypto.

Availability and eligibility

Why can the Quppy app be available when an IBAN, crypto-asset or card is not?

The Quppy app is software, while an IBAN, payment route, custodial crypto service, crypto-asset, blockchain network or card is a separate product that can depend on a regulated provider, country, customer type and eligibility decision. An app-store listing therefore means the software can be downloaded; it does not guarantee that every service is live, approved or available for that account.

Availability and eligibility

What do Quppy service-availability statuses mean?

Quppy uses service statuses to distinguish what can be used now from what is restricted, planned, paused or unavailable. “Available” means the service is live for eligible users under the stated conditions; it does not guarantee approval. “Limited” means only part of the service is available. “Coming soon” is a roadmap status, not a launch promise. “Temporarily paused”, “Unavailable” and “Not applicable” each have different operational meanings.

Availability by region

Why is USDT unavailable through Quppy in the EEA?

USDT is not available through Quppy to users whose crypto services are provided under the European Economic Area regulatory framework. Quppy’s EEA crypto-service provider, Payhound Limited, excludes USDT from its EU/EEA service catalogue as part of its MiCA-compliant stablecoin policy. This is a Quppy service-availability restriction. It does not mean that simply owning USDT is generally illegal throughout the EEA.
